Title: Harder
Author: Athene
Fandom: Primeval
Characters: Abby, Connor
Rating: PG
Warnings: none
Spoilers: Post 2.7
Challenge: The gym
Word count: 100
Disclaimer: Not mine. ITV and Impossible Pictures own them.

In the days after Stephen’s death, Connor started disappearing. Abby assumed he was working on the ADD. Or maybe spending time with Cutter. Hell, for all she knew he was distracting himself with porn.

When she finally found him, Connor was in the last place she ever expected: the gym.

He was working out, doing weights, making himself harder, stronger, tougher. He was pounding hell out of the punch-bag, oblivious to everything, sweat mingling with tears on his face.

Abby slipped quietly away before he saw her watching.

Somehow, she felt that catching him with porn would have been preferable.
