Drabble: Peace and Quiet

Ryan kissed Connor goodbye, and watched him bounce off to a sci-fi convention for the weekend.

He closed his eyes and sighed. Three whole days to himself. Three days of quiet.

Ryan still couldn’t quite understand how one man could make so much noise. If it wasn’t the incessant chatter, it was the sound of a computer keyboard, or just Connor’s random bimbling around (because god forbid he sit still for more than thirty seconds at a time!).

Ryan settled down to enjoy his brief respite.

Half an hour later he turned on the TV to drown out the silence.
